One of Motel’s newest riders, Gabriel, recently took a trip to the beautiful, sunny streets of Girona in Spain. The city itself is well known to both professionals and keen amateur cyclists due to it’s fantastic variety of training routes. Within minutes of the town centre you have the choice of beautiful, picturesque hills with challenging mountain bike routes or practically car free road routes cutting through the quaint Spanish countryside.
Gabriel was also lucky enough to go out on a ride with a group of local riders who ranged from weekend warriors to ex Olympians! The ride took them through lovely small towns, up and down perfectly smooth roads, before pulling over at a local bar for a coffee to reenergise for the ride back to town.
It truly is a fantastic place to ride a bicycle, and it's very easy to see why teams like Garmin have their team base there. So nice in fact he even managed to get his non-cycling girlfriend to come out and appreciate the opportunity of riding in such a setting! If you’re reading this in a place where riding during the winter involves water proofs and a runny nose you seriously need to consider a trip.
